Take care of your mental. It’s the only one you get.

Professional Basketball Player, Business Owner, Speaker and Mentor: Rodney Pryor opens up at the Hoops and Beyond Mental Health Panel as the Keynote speaker.

WE SEE YOU. WE HEAR YOU. WE FEEL YOU. As athletes in this game of life, the world can seem like it is on our shoulders at all times. The pressure is real. Every single athlete goes through it. Correction, every single PERSON goes through it. It’s important to remember, we as athletes, are just people. It can be easy to lose your identity when you put it all in your sport. It’s vital to understand your sport is just your PLATFORM it is NOT your PURPOSE. The equation is very simple, if you protect and pour into your mental health then you will succeed in and reach your full potential in all areas of life. While being at peace.

THE SILENT INJURY | proud partner of Hoops and Beyond

Founder: RAVEN FAIRLEY

Hoops and Beyond is partnered with the Silent Injury.

The Silent Injury is a mental health awareness organization committed to encouraging athletes to utilize their platforms to enhance consciousness and foster a community of mental, physical, and emotional growth. We ignite transparent dialogue between athletes and their communities— free of bias, criticism and conflict to combat stigma and promote mental wellness. Our resources include one on one life coaching, therapy, community workshops, community mentoring programs and educational events.

Raven started this journey because she recognized that athletes are extremely neglected when it comes to their identity and mental wellness and that this was a human issue, not an athlete specific one. She believes focusing on a holistic approach will equip athletes with tools to heal and prompt them to go into their communities to pay it forward. It is important to provide our communities with resources so that people feel inspired and purposeful. Everyone has mental health and teaching people how to handle their good and bad moments is essential for a fulfilling life. The Silent Injury exists for people to show their real moments. After all the motto is “HighlightReal” let’s practice that everyday!
